When the temperature drops, warm hands make all the difference. Norolan Moose Leather Mittens are made for long winter days outdoors, whether you are ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing or simply spending time outside in freezing conditions.

Despite their warmth, the mittens remain exceptionally soft and flexible, giving you much better freedom of movement than you would expect from a heavy winter mitten.

Each pair is handmade in Mikkeli, Finland, using high quality Finnish moose leather combined with a warm merino wool inner glove.

Made for real Nordic winter

Moose leather is naturally soft, durable and flexible. This makes the mittens warm enough for harsh Nordic winter conditions without feeling unnecessarily stiff or bulky.

Unlike many traditional winter mittens made partly from lower grade split leather, Norolan mittens are made entirely from high quality Finnish moose grain leather.

Inside, a soft merino wool liner helps retain warmth while remaining breathable, keeping your hands comfortable even during long days on the ice.

Why moose leather?

Moose leather is an excellent material for winter mittens. It is naturally supple, flexible and durable while offering the protection needed in cold Nordic conditions.

Its softness allows the mitten to move naturally with your hand, making it easier to handle fishing gear, equipment and everyday tasks even in freezing temperatures.

We use genuine Finnish moose grain leather throughout the mitten, not the weaker split leather commonly found in inexpensive leather gloves.

The result is a mitten that combines serious winter warmth with excellent comfort and flexibility.

Merino wool warmth

The inner glove is made from soft and warm merino wool knitted in Finland.

Merino wool breathes naturally and retains warmth efficiently, making it particularly well suited to changing temperatures and long periods outdoors.

The merino wool is sourced from responsibly raised, mulesing free merino sheep.
