We only want to sell jigs that we would use ourselves. As passionate rainbow trout ice anglers, we wanted to create a compact jig with a long, gliding fall, equipped with an attractive, replaceable Norolan Original LED light.

This jig reflects our core values:

The light jig is a highly effective attractor

High-performance LED light jigs are already well known among Arctic char anglers in the north. Both char and rainbow trout are curious fish and will readily swim long distances to investigate a flashing jig.

Although we developed the Northern Light jig for rainbow trout, it has also proven highly effective for perch when used with a color hook.

The “North” can be used either with the included color hook or as a dropper rig.

Action and features

The jig’s exceptionally lightweight design makes it slow-sinking and highly sensitive in action. Thanks to its lightness, it takes longer than usual to return beneath the ice hole, keeping the color hook moving for a longer time.

The flashing light attracts curious fish from afar and is often—especially in the dim light of the polar winter—the only way to grab their attention.
